The Family Connection is a Home Visiting program available to all families in Henry and Washington Counties with a child age prenatal through age 5. We believe that parents are the first and most important teachers of children. Our home visits include both an educational component as well as a fun activity that helps children learn. Each home visit is personalized for your family. We also provide ongoing support and information about community referrals. Families are also able to earn incentives such as diapers and wipes.

Our services are free.

The Family Connection works to improve Protective Factors for families. Protective factors are skills that help families grow healthy and safe children. There are five Protective Factors. The Family Connection focuses on information and assistance to improve these areas.

It wasn’t until I started working with our parent educator that I realized just how far behind Layla was. Eventually, we got a diagnosis: autism. Parents as Teachers gave me the tools and information to move in the right direction. Those visits continue to make a huge difference for my daughter today.
