Becky Beckner

Master Consultant

Dr. Becky Beckner serves as the Master Consultant for the new Southeast Iowa Early Childhood Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports Program, which serves 10 counties of southeast Iowa through training, onsite coaching and behavioral consultation in early childhood programs.

Becky received her bachelor’s degree in psychology/public administration and a master’s degree in counseling psychology from Northwest Missouri State University. After many years working with young children with behavior disorders, she obtained her Ph.D. in special education/behavior disorders/early childhood from the University of Missouri.

Becky has served as a behavior consultant and PBIS trainer to providers, schools, districts, and states throughout the country.

She moved to Mount Pleasant in 2012 to teach at Iowa Wesleyan University, where she served as a professor in the Teacher Education Program, Education Division Chair, as Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of Students and retired as the Vice President for Student Development in 2021.
